Located in the historic village of Llangynwyd, The Old House 1147 is South Wales’ oldest pub which has been beautifully restored and redeveloped in recent years. Surrounded by an abundance of nature and steeped in history, The Old House 1147’s new guest accommodation provides the perfect opportunity for a Welsh countryside retreat.

Three of our new bedrooms are nestled in the eaves of our twelfth century inn, featuring cottage style windows and original wooden beams. A further four bedrooms are part of our new extension and open up on to landscaped gardens and spectacular views of the Gadlys valley. With excellent mattresses, the finest sheets, and luxury bathrooms, each of our unique rooms promise a night of pure comfort.
